Courtroom psychology specialist Saul Kassin will address students at Samford University's Cumberland School of Law Thursday, Jan. 29, at 11 a.m. in the moot courtroom of Robinson law building.
Dr. Kassin, distinguished professor of psychology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, New York City, will speak on the topic, "Inside Interrogation: Why Innocent People Confess."
He is the author or co-author of Confessions in the Courtroom, The Psychology of Evidence and Trial Procedure, The American Jury on Trial: Psychological Perspectives, and In the Jury Box: Controversies in the Courtroom.
Kassin's visit is sponsored by Cumberland's Cordell Hull Speakers Forum.
