Womens Heritage Month

Samford University has a long history of producing trailblazing women, and each year the university’s Office of Student Success and Diversity recognizes the significant contributions of women, on and off campus. This March, national Women's History Month will be celebrated through a series of events highlighting leadership, empowerment and community service.

“These events reflect Samford’s commitment to celebrating and uplifting the voices of women,” said De’Janae Tookes, executive director of multicultural initiatives. “Women have long been contributing to the colorful history of the United States and of Samford, from legends of our nation’s founding, to the civil rights movement and to celebrated missionaries, women have played a significant, though often-overlooked role in turning the pages of history.”

Students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in these meaningful events.
