Dr. Charlie Sands has been connected to Samford since 1984 and returned full time in 2002. He has previously served as a professor and dean of Samford's McWhorter School of Pharmacy, and he had the unique opportunity to teach at Pyongyang University of Science and Technology in North Korea from 2013 to 2017. Samford's McWhorter School of Pharmacy invites current high school sophomores, juniors and seniors to apply for its Bulldog Pharmacy Camp this summer to learn about careers in pharmacy. Campers will engage in hands-on lab demonstrations, participate in unique service projects, gain essential patient assessment skills and tour local health care facilities and pharmacies.
