Samford Pharmacy Homecoming
Dean Crouch, along with our esteemed faculty and staff, will be hosting a tent on the Quad from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. We’re offering lunch to the first 50 alumni who stop by before the game, so be sure to get there early!
Pharmacy Night at the Pete Hanna Center
This event is open to all McWhorter students, faculty, staff, and alumni. It’s a perfect opportunity to connect with the Samford community, cheer on the Bulldogs and have a fantastic time. More information coming soon.
2025 Alumni Tour: Samford Pharmacy World Series
After a successful 2024 alumni dinner tour, we decided to keep it going! In 2025, we are planning a series of alumni networking events in conjunction with minor and major league baseball outings in the following cities:
- Atlanta
- Birmingham
- Chattanooga
- Huntsville
- Nashville

Shaddix Award Winners
The Carl Wayne Shaddix Pharmacy Practitioner of Excellence Award is made possible through an endowment established in 2002 by Lonnie Funderburg, '42, a friend and colleague of Mr. Shaddix. The highest honor bestowed on an alum by the school is awarded to a graduate who has distinguished themselves in the pharmacy field during the first five years after earning their PharmD.
