Students in Samford University’s journalism and mass communication program earned 11 awards at the 2019 Southeastern Journalism Conference (SEJC). This year’s conference, which promotes collegiate journalism throughout the Southeast, was held Feb. 14-16 at Middle Tennessee State University.
“I am so proud of Samford journalism and mass communication students earning 11 awards at SEJC,” said Journalism and Mass Communication Department Chair Bernie Ankney. “We have some of the best journalism, public relations and advertising students in the country. Their performance at SEJC shows why College Factual/USA Today ranked us the number 35 program in the country. Our students are that good.”
