Harry B. Brock III, Samford's Vice President for Business Affairs, has announced several recent staff appointments related to ongoing division restructuring.

Tatyana Karaman, Ph.D., becomes Associate Vice President for Decision Support and Financial Strategy after several years of service at Samford as a member of the faculty, Director of Institutional Research and Director of Special Projects.  

Mike Darwin, CPA and CMA, joins Samford as Controller after extensive financial experience, most recently as Vice President Finance, CFO and Controller for BioCryst Pharmaceuticals.

Matt DeFore, CPA, joins Samford as Budget Manager after almost 15 years with BlueCross/BlueShield of Alabama.
Tim Marvin, CPA, joins Samford as Budget Analyst after serving Southern Company and affiliated entities, and working as a consultant implementing business intelligence and analytic software solutions.

Danielle Johnson, MAcc, becomes Director of Business Intelligence after serving for many years in Samford's accounting office.

Rosemary Ford, another veteran of Samford's financial offices, becomes Budget Coordinator.
