Samford University's annual Family Weekend provides the opportunity for students and their families to become participants in Samford's community and traditions. A variety of activities will take place from Friday, Sept. 21 through Sunday, Sept. 23.

Friday's activities include check-in and registration at the Flag Colonnade in the University Center from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and a family dessert party in Ben Brown Plaza.

On Saturday, the third annual Family Weekend Golf Tournament will take place at Eagle Point Golf Course. Families can also treat themselves to a spa package and participate in the parent-faculty meet and greet. The annual meeting of the Parents Association will take place at 11 a.m. followed by a shrimp boil luncheon on the Quad from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Samford Football takes on Southeast Missouri at 6 p.m. in Seibert Stadium.

Families are invited to attend a worship service at their student's local church on Sunday morning. A closing luncheon in the University Center cafeteria is offered from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The annual Old Song Sing-Along is at 2 p.m. in Reid Chapel.
