Samford Alumna Mary Parker ’24 Selected as Fulbright Scholar
Mary Parker, a 2024 international relations graduate from Dothan, Alabama, has been selected as a Fulbright Scholar for the 2025 school year. Beginning in February, Parker will serve as a full-time English professor in Timor-Leste, a cultural and professional opportunity that aligns with her passion for international education and human rights.
Samford Debate Wins George Ziegelmueller Tournament in Novice, Varsity Wins 3rd Speaker
This past weekend, Samford Debate competed at the George Ziegelmueller tournament hosted by Wayne State University. The novice team of Kate Alexander and Lexi Bush won the tournament and earned first and second speaker.
Medieval Manuscript Donation Sparks Student Research at Samford
A collaborative research project led by Anthony Minnema, associate professor of history, and Emma Mikell, a senior English and classics double major from Covington, Louisiana, unveiled the mysteries of a medieval manuscript donated to the Samford Library by the family of Carl Smallwood, a 1964 Howard College alumnus.
