After graduation, Avery aspires to use her degrees and experience to work in women's sports.

In addition to his time as a University Fellow, Blake is also a member of the Ragland Scholars and the Sports Industry Program at Samford. While studying Sports Business and Spanish on campus, Blake has also studied abroad in Granada, Spain and in the inaugural semester program at the Finca de Samford in Ciudad Colón, Costa Rica. Blake has received the Avery White Memorial Scholarship from the Brock School of Business and the Wheeler Hawley Award for Excellence in Spanish. Some work opportunities Blake has been involved in at Samford include sports internships with local and international sports teams and a position as a Study Abroad Peer Advisor with Samford Global. Outside of the classroom, Blake is a Team Officer with the Samford Club Soccer Team and attends All Christ Church (ACC) in Birmingham. After graduating, Blake plans to continue his Samford education by enrolling in the Sports Business MBA program with the goal of working internationally for a non-profit sports company or a sports ministry organization.

While at Samford, Colin has studied accounting in the Brock School of Business, where he serves as president of the Beta Alpha Psi honor society and has earned membership in Beta Gamma Sigma, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Alpha Lambda Delta. He has worked on campus as a Resident Assistant, an accounting tutor in the Academic Success Center, and an undergraduate research assistant in the Brock School of Business. Colin has also gained professional experience as an audit and tax intern at Rödl & Partner in Birmingham and will join KPMG as a tax intern in the winter of his senior year. After completing his bachelor's degree, Colin plans to earn his Master of Accountancy at Samford and become a Certified Public Accountant. He ultimately hopes to build a career in public accounting, helping individuals and businesses navigate the ever-changing complexities of tax compliance.

During her time at Samford, Faith has been an active member of the music department in both performance and leadership capacities. She has been a Samford University Marching Bulldog since freshman year, and she served as band captain her junior year and assistant drum major her senior year. She often plays with the Samford Orchestra as well, and performed as a guest conductor with the ensemble during her junior spring semester. In addition, she served as the Vice President of Samford's CNAfME chapter for two terms. Faith has been honored with being on the Dean's List every semester. Ethan has cherished his time at Samford, especially the University Fellows Program, involving himself in theatre, psychology, and Fellows leadership. Upon graduation from Samford, Ethan plans to pursue theatre production, including Directing, Design, and Stage Management. Sara Kate will graduate in May with aspirations of attending dental school in the summer. A four-year member of the Fellows Leadership Council (FLC), Sara Kate now has the privilege of serving as FLC President. She also served as the Academic Excellence Chairman for her sorority, where she had the opportunity to promote academic integrity and accountability among her peers. Throughout her college experience, Sara Kate has enjoyed mentoring underclassmen, learning alongside her peers, and serving her community through volunteer opportunities. Her academic achievements include receiving a scholarship and honors from the Samford Biology Department, recognizing her dedication to academic excellence.

Gigi Canale, a Samford University Senior, has spent her time in college studying Law and History, Philosophy, and Biblical Studies, with hopes to go to law school after graduating. Her ultimate goal is to become a special victims prosecutor and seek justice for those affected by child abuse and human trafficking. Gigi has researched these issues during her undergraduate years alongside professor David Smolin at the Cumberland School of Law. In addition to being a University Fellow, she has become a Stockham Scholar and a Howard Scholar, pursuing her love for conversation about academia and current events. Past her academic pursuits, Gigi has been involved in many extra curricular activities, including playing saxophone in the University Jazz Band, Orchestra, and Symphonic Band, being named Chaplin for the Samford University Marching Band, competing regionally for Alabama’s K.O. Judo Club, and being an active member and youth volunteer at Red Mountain Church. She is extremely grateful for her family, friends, professors, coaches, and congregation in Birmingham who have contributed so deeply to her success at Samford University, and she will cherish these four years for the rest of her life.

Before coming to Samford, Ben was NHS vice president, a Key Club Class Officer, Spanish Club member, and lead pianist and vocalist for his school’s praise team. While attending Samford, Ben plans to study Biology and participate in research studies in the Biology department. He also desires to be active in campus ministries, small groups, and worship. After graduation, Ben will continue his studies as he works towards becoming a doctor.

He had the privilege of spending a semester studying abroad at the Daniel House in London, England where he complimented the University Fellows Curriculum with the “Classical London” class and completed a Finance Internship at The Leprosy Mission UK. While in London, he accepted a Winter 2027 audit internship offer from KPMG in Atlanta. After graduation he plans to pursue his Master of Accountancy and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and begin his career in public accounting in Atlanta.

She has loved most, though, the student-led rituals like English department Teatime and acting in the Underground Theatre, putting her passions for literature and the stage to good use. After graduation, Abi hopes to keep learning, reading, and editing, at home or abroad, and to carry the lessons learned at Samford with her wherever she goes.

Apart from her studies, Meghan has served as an intern for the Samford Christenberry Planetarium, helped found Samford’s chapter of the American Scientific Affiliation, and has worked as an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Christian Sanchez’s organic synthesis research group. In her free time, she enjoys reading, drawing, playing the classical guitar, and is currently training for her third-degree black belt in Five Animal Kenpo.

Michael has served as both vice president and chaplain for numerous organizations, such as the Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society, Samford American Sign Language Club, and the Biology Ambassador Program. Additionally, he served to help found his fraternity as its first historian and chaplain later on. In addition to his leadership, he has co-authored a paper and presented research posters at the Alabama Academy of Science annual meetings in 2025 and 2026. During summer, winter, and spring breaks, he served on multiple veterinary mission trips through the Christian Veterinary Mission to Belize, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica. He has applied to several veterinary schools and hopes to serve rural communities in the United States as a mixed-animal veterinary practitioner after graduation, working to diminish the current veterinary disparity in these regions..

After graduation, she plans to pursue a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology with the goal of becoming a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist. She hopes to use her Spanish to provide thorough care to children who speak English as a second language. Her time at Samford has been formative in shaping both her character and her career aspirations. At Samford, Belle served as Director of Philanthropy for the Kappa chapter of Alpha Delta Pi and was President of both Psi Chi (the Psychology Honors Society) and the French Club. For her first two years, she played goalie for the club lacrosse team and loved the sense of community it gave her. Though not a theatre major, she found that same sense of community by taking part in the 10-minute play and One Act festivals. She studied abroad as well, spending a month each in Grenoble and Aix-en-Provence, France (though her favorite trip was with the Fellows program in Italy). Her interest in Psychology became more concrete during her junior year, when she became a Registered Behavior Technician and began working at an ABA clinic that provides services to children with autism. After changing majors several times, she settled on Psychology and French, which she plans to build on to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.

Virginia Riggar attended Franklin High School before attending Safmrod University, where she participated in the swim team, and captained the team her senior year. Virginia plans to study biology at Samford, and also plans to minor in nutrition. After earning her bachelors degree, she plans to enroll in graduate school to become a physician's assistant to one day be a PA in dermatology.

Isabella is a 2024 graduate of Hebron Christian Academy where her honors included Valedictorian, the STAR Student Award and AP Scholar with Distinction. Along with leadership roles in Mu Alpha Theta and the National Spanish Honors Society, Isabella lettered in varsity tennis and was named the all region team her junior and senior seasons. During her time at Samford, Isabella is excited to study History and looks forward to taking advantage of the Samford Abroad program. She plans to use her degree to attend law school in the future.

Before coming to Samford, Hannah was homeschooled from third through twelfth grade. She loves reading classics, creative writing and journalism. She is a competitive fencer and has traveled all over the country for competitions. She also enjoys sewing, knitting, and drinking English breakfast tea. On Sundays, she teaches Catechesis of the Good Shepherd to the three to five year olds at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Prior to attending Samford, Jackson was an AP scholar with distinction, National Merit Commended, and one of two recipients of the Distinguished Student Award for the 2023-2024 school year. While in High School, he won the TAPPS League State Championship in original oratory for sophomore and senior year, while also serving as a co-leader in a student organized Bible study. Jackson served as the debate and esports captain of the House of Homer. While attending Samford, Jackson plans to study English and is considering a classics double major. After graduation, Jackson intends to pursue earning a PhD to achieve his goal of becoming a college professor in the field of liberal arts.

Before attending Samford, Katie was classically educated through several homeschool hybrid programs including The Classical School and Metro Academic Studies. During her time at these schools, Katie was a member of the speech and debate club, where she qualified in both categories for Nationals all four years of high school, and participated in the drama club, both on and off the stage. Katie plans to pursue a degree in the Howard College of Arts and Sciences. Katie cannot wait to see where Samford takes her!

While still attending Lake Wales High School, Kate was a member of both the school’s IB program, and Veterinary Assisting Career Academy, and graduated third in her class. Off campus Kate participated in many volunteer opportunities, such as promoting literacy with her local library, and club activities such as 4H. She plans to major in English with a minor in French and one day hopes to be a teacher. She has enjoyed participating in Samford Outdoor Adventure Club and Reformed University Fellowship this year and cannot wait to see what the rest of her Samford experience has to offer.

At Samford, Campbell intends to major in Biology on the Pre-Medicine track. After graduation, Campbell plans on attending medical school to become an orthopedic surgeon.

Apart from academic pursuits, Ry was a TAPPS Football State Champion, 4-Year Club and Varsity Baseball Player, and a 4-Year Student Ambassador. Ry has also been an involved member of his community with hundreds of hours of service while acting as the Vice President of the Young Men's Service League. For his major, Ry plans to study Neuroscience on a pre-med track. Throughout high school, Abigail also frequently led worship at her youth group and was greatly involved in theatre, with opportunities to work on both musicals and straight plays. A highlight of her high school career was competing in New York in the finals of the English Speaking Union’s National Shakespeare Competition. As a musical theatre major at Samford, she hopes to further hone her craft and eventually perform professionally.

While there, she served as the Vice President of Indian Springs' Chamber and Treble Choirs, President and Founder of Indigenous Peoples Club, tutor for the writing center, TA for multiple English classes, and journalist for the school newspaper. She is also an AP Scholar with Distinction, a published poet and short-story writer, and a performed playwright. While attending Samford, Lai'ana plans to study English and Secondary Education to pursue her twin passions of telling stories and teaching others. She aspires to become a high school English teacher who has lots of tales to spin about her work as an author, director, and illustrator.

Before coming to Samford, Kenzie was Vice President of her school's spirit team, a group leader for both National Honor Society and Beta Club, and played field hockey. She also worked with elementary-aged refugee students, teaching foundational literacy skills to ESL students. As well, Kenzie was active in YoungLife and stage management. She also was involved in SALT (Service and Leadership Training) at Camp Crestridge and later worked as a counselor there. At Samford, Camille will study Human Development and Family Science, with a concentration in Animal Assisted services, and Spanish while continuing riding on the Samford Equestrian Club Team. Once she graduates, Camille hopes to use her degree to work with service animals in some capacity before she can achieve her dream of opening her own animal therapy retreat ranch.
