BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  - Apply now! Samford’s Office of Sustainability is offering a mini grant to any member of the Samford community who aspires to increase awareness for sustainability on campus and cultivate a sustainable culture. The purpose of this mini grant is to encourage the development and maintenance of projects and programs, in hopes of improving sustainability on Samford’s campus. Recipients of this grant would be given various opportunities to enhance their Samford experience.

The Sustainability Action Team will review applications as they are received, and applicants will receive a funding decision within 30 days of submitting a completed application. Completed forms are due by 5 p.m. on April 30, 2023. “If you have a project idea that supports the three pillars of sustainability — environmental,
social, and economic — we encourage you to complete the application,” Sustainability Coordinator, Anita Morgan states. “We want to create a better tomorrow for Samford’s campus,” Morgan adds.

ABOUT: Sustainability at Samford is committed to advancing sustainability on campus by identifying areas for improvement, collaborating across campus to support green initiatives, programs, and progress, and providing leadership and guidance for campus sustainability efforts. Sustainability Coordinator, Anita Morgan has a passion for the environment and because of this took on a full-time job focusing on how to improve Samford’s campus. Sustainability at Samford has been very successful, and its students are involved outside of the campus to support the community.
