Samford University’s board of trustees has approved the 2019-20 tuition and fee schedule.
Undergraduate tuition for full-time students will be $16,000 per semester.
The university-wide technology fee, the university-wide parking fee and the undergraduate campus life fee remain unchanged for 2019-20.
Housing rates for undergraduates will range from $2,484 to $4,585 per semester, based on residence facility. Samford is introducing four newly crafted meal plans ranging from $1,299 to $2,505 per semester. These plans are designed to make dining on campus more convenient and to provide students with greater flexibility to choose from the 11 food service locations across campus.
Full-time tuition per semester for graduate/professional programs includes Cumberland School of Law, $20,394 for the Juris Doctorate and Beeson Divinity School, $7,620 for the Master of Divinity. Annual tuition for McWhorter School of Pharmacy will be $38,521 for the Doctor of Pharmacy. Tuition and fees in other graduate and professional programs vary by degree program, according to Harry B. Brock III, Samford’s executive vice president and vice president for business and financial affairs.
“We are grateful for the investment families are making in a Samford education,” Brock said. “They have come to expect high-quality academic programs and cocurricular activities, and we are committed to finding balance between those expectations and affordability.”
Samford continues to enjoy a strong national reputation for its academic programs and affordability. Samford has been recognized by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance as one of the top 50 for “Best College Value” among private universities in the United States. Samford is the top-ranked university in Alabama in national rankings by The Wall Street Journal.
