Samford University senior Hannah Elizabeth Seymour of Owens Cross Roads, Ala.,  has been selected to receive a $2,700 UPS Scholarship provided through the Alabama Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (AAICU).

UPS scholarships are funded by the United Parcel Service Educational Endowment Fund and administered by the Foundation for Independent Higher Education (FIHE) in Washington, D.C., with assistance in Alabama from AAICU, a statewide association for private colleges and universities.

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of a student’s academic achievement and worthiness.

A musical theatre major and a member of Alpha Psi Omega theatre honor society, Seymour has performed in many campus productions. She is the daughter of Lora and David Seymour.
