Samford University's Office of Human Resources held a Service Awards Reception today honoring those employees who reached milestones in their service to the University. The reception, held at The Club, was emceed by Fred Rogan, Director of Human Resources at Samford.
Among those being honored was Myralyn Allgood of the World Languages and Cultures Department, who reached 45 years of service and is the most tenured employee of Samford.
Reaching 40 years of service was James Jensen, Music.
Reaching 35 years of service was Charlotte Freeman, Teacher Education; and Nancy Whitt, English. Those who reached 30 years at Samford included Judy Bourrand, Nursing; Becky Hutto, Law Library; Henry Glotfelty, Physics; and Tom Stone, Law.
