The Samford University Film Club has announced its fall line-up of showings in the school’s Christenberry Planetarium, located in Propst Hall. The public is invited free of charge.

The schedule includes:

  • Sept. 15   Big Fish
  • Oct. 6   The Sting
  • Oct. 13    The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
  • Oct. 30  The Shining
  • Nov. 10  Gattaca
  • Nov. 17  Thelma and Louise
  • Dec. 4  The Big Sleep

All movies start at 7 p.m., except for a TBA time for the Oct. 13 Jesse James film. Each movie will be introduced with comments related to style, impact, cast and production. Informal discussion will follow each film.

The film club, sponsored by the Samford English Department, is a student organization designed to promote appreciation and study of film. For information, contact film club faculty sponsor Geoffrey Wright at (205) 726-2926.
