Returning Samford University students will arrive on campus Sunday (AUG. 24) in anticipation of fall semester classes starting on Monday.
Freshman and transfer students arrived Thursday and Friday for a series of final orientation events. Activities for the new Samford students include an ice cream social at Samford president Andrew Westmoreland's home on Sunday afternoon.
All students will enjoy a week of "Welcome Back" activities, including a tailgate party on Thursday prior to the season opening football game against the University of West Georgia.
The semester-opening convocation will be Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 10 a.m. in Wright Center Concert Hall. Samford president Andrew Westmoreland will speak.
