The Alabama Supreme Court and the Alabama Court of Civil Appeal will hear cases in Samford University's Wright Center on Tuesday morning (APRIL 4). Call to order will be at 9:10 a.m.
The event, hosted by Samford's Cumberland School of Law and the Birmingham Bar Foundation, is free and open to the public.
The Supreme Court will hear arguments in the Jack Cline v. Ashland, Inc., case beginning at 9:30 a.m.
The Court of Civil Appeals will hear Ryan's Family Steakhouse and Fire Mountain Restaurant v. Donna Kilpatrick at 10:50 a.m.
About 620 students from 13 area high schools and three colleges will attend the sessions. During the past week, attorneys involved in the cases have visited the classrooms to explain the cases to be heard.
