Megan Alsene-Parker completed her PhD focused in Old Testament/Hebrew Bible at the University of Cambridge (England) and previous degrees (MDiv and BA) at Palm Beach Atlantic University (Florida). Her research and publications focus on Lamentations, the Psalms, Song of Songs and other Old Testament poetry and wisdom texts, with particular interest in memory, embodiment, emotion and trauma. She comes to Samford after four years in England with her husband Josh, a fellow Bible scholar, and their young son, Tobias.
