Samford University Spanish professor Tiffany Robayna combined language education, medical service and Christian missions in work she hopes might eventually enrich Samford student experiences.
Robayna, a veteran of church planting, language ministry and medical missions, taught Spanish pharmacy and medical Spanish at Samford last spring, then served as part of a Hispanic medical group in the summer, providing clinics in five villages in Senegal, West Africa.
In addition to her service with the group’s pharmacy team, Robayna also visited language schools in Dakar and Casablanca, Morocco. There, she explored opportunities to provide language workshops in support of local missionaries and give Samford Arabic students a unique educational opportunity.
