The History Department and Core Texts invite the campus community to an academic roundtable discussion reflecting on the meaning and legacy of the Declaration of Independence as the nation approaches its 250th anniversary.

This conversation will feature Carli Conklin (University of Missouri), Jason Stevens, and Cara Rogers Stevens (Ashland University) as they examine the historical, legal, and philosophical dimensions of the Declaration’s most famous phrase: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
