Graduates from Samford University’s School of Public Health now have a new way to stay connected. In September, the school officially launched its alumni chapter that will provide opportunities for alumni to fellowship, remain involved with the school, and support current students through networking, events and other activities.

“The School of Public Health alumni chapter enhances opportunities for alumni to connect with the school, its academic programs, faculty and students,” said Dean Suresh Mathews. “Through these interactions, our students are better prepared to enter the workforce.”

Kim Farris Croley, MSW ’19, serves as chair of the School of Public Health Alumni Chapter leadership team. Other officers include Abby Jullierat, MHA ’26, Eric Vaughn, DrPH ’24, Katie Brabham ’20 and Sarah Logan Curl ’18.

The School of Public Health Alumni Chapter is the fourth chapter established through Samford’s school-based alumni chapter program, a university wide initiative designed to strengthen connections between alumni and the academic schools that shaped their careers.

“These inaugural chapters represent an exciting new opportunity for alumni engagement at Samford,” said Casey Ramey, executive director of alumni engagement initiatives.

The launch event, held September 24 at Samford University’s College of Health Sciences, brought together School of Public Health alumni and friends to celebrate the beginning of this new opportunity for engagement.
