Hannah Pope is a native of Birmingham, Alabama, and grew up in Hoover, where she currently lives with her husband, daughter, and dachshund. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the Ida V. Moffett School of Nursing at Samford University in 2015. As an undergraduate at Samford, Pope took advantage of study abroad opportunities, traveling to London to learn about British healthcare and explore the city, as well as to Ecuador for missions nursing. Her background is in pediatric nursing, and she has worked as an RN at Children’s of Alabama (COA) in both the operating room and intensive care step-down unit since graduating. Pope has also worked as a part-time clinical associate with Samford students for several years in health assessment, foundations, and pediatrics, sparking her desire to pursue further education. She received a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in education from Auburn University and transitioned from clinician at COA to nurse educator at Samford. She was thrilled to return to Samford for her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in Nursing Administration, which she completed in 2024. Pope’s goal is to be an educational leader, integrating faith and practice for the next generation of nurses to provide compassionate, holistic, and competent care.
