Kristen Evans joined Samford University in 2022 as the development officer for Brock School of Business, where she works closely with alumni and friends to connect their philanthropic passions with opportunities that make a meaningful impact on students, faculty and programs.

Before coming to Samford, Kristen spent nearly ten years in advancement at another nonprofit organization in the Birmingham area. Her work centered on building strong donor relationships, cultivating long-term partnerships and stewarding gifts through thoughtful engagement, annual giving strategies and fundraising events.

Originally from Fairfax, Virginia, Kristen moved to Alabama to attend The University of Alabama, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration. She later completed her Master of Public Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Kristen lives in Vestavia with her husband, Patrick, a Cumberland School of Law graduate, and their two children. Their family attends Trinity United Methodist Church in Homewood.
