The Women’s Theological Colloquium is dedicated to learning about women's perspectives on pastoral and theological issues and providing a nurturing and supportive environment for women in the Beeson Divinity School community. The goal of the group is to be responsive to the spiritual, social, intellectual and emotional needs of women preparing for Christian ministry. The Women’s Theological Colloquium seeks to raise the level of awareness concerning issues in the church and to help women become more effective ministers, chiefly through modeling and mentoring by invited female chapel speakers and academics. The fellowship encourages and prayerfully supports female students at Beeson as they study and prepare for vocational ministry. Meeting two or three times per semester, the fellowship welcomes special guests who discuss their experiences and roles in ministry leadership. Meetings include sharing a meal and a time of prayer. Occasionally, for the benefit of Beeson's female students, the WTC partners for events with other affiliate student ministry groups.
