Tracey Roberts, professor of law at Samford University Cumberland School of Law, shared her latest scholarship at a series of national and international academic conferences in June 2026, highlighting her expertise in tax policy, public goods and climate-related financial frameworks.

Roberts presented “Taxings and Takings Revisited” at the Association of Mid-Career Tax Scholars/Experienced in Tax Conference, hosted by New York University on June 4. The conference brought together leading tax scholars from across the country to discuss emerging issues and innovations in tax law and policy.

Roberts then traveled to Spain to take part in two international conferences focused on decarbonization and climate policy. On June 11, she presented “One Step Forward, Two Steps Back: Recent Reversals in U.S. Climate Policy and Their Impacts” at the II International Conference on Decarbonization, Renewable Energies, and Mobility: Financial and Tax Measures at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona.

She concluded her international engagements on June 15 at the University of Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona, Spain, where she presented “Clean Hydrogen in the United States” at the International Conference on Business Decarbonization: Tax Policies, Strategies, and Opportunities.

Through these presentations, Roberts continues to contribute to critical global conversations on tax policy, sustainability and the legal frameworks shaping energy transition efforts.
