Brannon Denning, the Starnes Professor of Law, is featured in a new video interview discussing his latest book "To Trust the People with Arms: The Supreme Court and the Second Amendment" alongside co-author Robert J. Cottrol, the Harold Paul Green Research Professor of Law and professor of history and sociology at George Washington University. 

The interview was led by David Yamane, professor of sociology at Wake Forest University, as part of his YouTube series "Light Over Heat". The book, published in October 2023 by the University of Kansas Press, explores the complex legal history of how the right to bear arms was widely accepted during the nation’s founding, was near extinction in the late 20th century, and is now experiencing a rebirth in the Supreme Court in the 21st century.
