Denzell Moton arguing a case

“Through its winning traditions and great coaching, Cumberland’s National Trial Team provided me with the skill set necessary to succeed as a practicing attorney.

“When I first arrived at Cumberland, I had no interest in entering a courtroom and planned to focus solely on transactional law. But, after being a member of the national trial team, I cannot imagine practicing law without litigating. Cumberland’s trial team enhanced my law school experience and gave me valuable tools to succeed in the future.”

—Denzell Moton, JD '19

Cumberland Alum Emily Hopper

“Being a member of Cumberland's National Moot Court team was the absolute highlight of my law school career.

“It sharpened my skills, brought me success, and opened the door to top-tier career opportunities. I am incredibly thankful for the gifts this program gave to me. That's why I'm proud to serve as one of the program's coaches so I can help pass on the gift of life changing advocacy and continue Cumberland's award-winning legacy.”

—Emily Hopper, JD '19
