Samford University’s Orlean Beeson School of Education and the Office of Community Enrichment will host a new event, The Trinity Forum, on Feb. 17, 2026, 5:30-8 p.m., in the Regions Community Resource Room, Cooney Hall 400.
The Trinity Forum aims to foster dialogue and collaboration among attendees to create more supportive educational environments. The event is open to teachers, administrators, parents, service providers and higher education faculty and staff.
Ashley George, associate professor in Howard College of Arts and Sciences, will deliver the keynote address. Selected as the 2025 recipient of the Alabama Communication Association’s Award for Outstanding Teaching, George teaches courses in interpersonal communication, communication theory, research methods and health communication and provides communication training and consulting to professionals. Her address will be followed by roundtable discussions encouraging dialogue designed to deepen understanding of generational differences and its influence in educational settings.
“Generational differences shape how we teach, lead and relate to one another in today’s educational and community settings,” said Anna McEwan, dean of Orlean Beeson School of Education. “The Trinity Forum creates space for thoughtful dialogue that equips educators, workplace and community leaders to respond with wisdom, empathy and a Christ-centered commitment to serving others.”
Thanks to support from the Louie M. and Betty M. Phillips Foundation, this is a free event. Light refreshments will be provided.
