Jenna Kramer-Young is a professional violinist and music educator based in the Birmingham area. Originally from Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Ms. Kramer-Young has been playing the violin for over 20 years and is passionate about sharing music both onstage and in the studio.

 Ms. Kramer-Young earned her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Colorado Boulder and her Master of Music in Violin Performance with a specialization in Violin and Viola Pedagogy from the University of Oregon. She is a member of the Steamboat Symphony Orchestra in her hometown as well as the Helena Symphony in Montana, performing a wide variety of orchestral repertoire.

 In addition to performing, Ms. Kramer-Young has been teaching private violin and viola lessons for more than seven years. She is a Suzuki-certified instructor and strives to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students can build confidence and enjoy the process of making music.

 When she’s not teaching or performing, Ms. Kramer-Young loves skiing, going on walks with her husband Patrick and their dog Kirby, and spending time behind the camera pursuing her interest in photography.
